Add Your Name: NY Essential Workers Need Healthcare!
Add signatureFor the past year during the pandemic, essential workers like myself have been risking our lives to serve the community and keep our economy moving. Home care workers, nurses, grocery workers, transit workers, farm workers, restaurant workers, drivers, teachers and janitors across NY have worked day after day through the pandemic, often without proper PPE.
Shockingly, many of us have no healthcare or inadequate coverage - this must change.
I believe all New Yorkers, especially essential workers, should have guaranteed healthcare that allows them to go to the doctor or hospital of their choice. The New York Health Act (A.6058/S.5474) would ensure all New Yorkers have access to healthcare, including essential workers. Essential workers who have risked so much should have guaranteed quality health care!
